A site or app stopped working. What do I do?

The filter blocks domains it recognizes as ads, trackers, or malware, and occasionally that list catches something a site actually needs to function. If a site or app breaks after you install hado99, turn the shield off from the app and check whether the problem goes away. That confirms whether filtering was the cause.

Why doesn't the explanation show up when I tap a blocked domain?

Fetching an explanation requires a network request to our service, so it can fail like any network request — for example on a poor connection. The domain filtering itself does not depend on this and keeps working normally even when an explanation cannot be fetched.

Does hado99 slow down my internet?

The app only intercepts DNS queries, not your general traffic, and blocked domains are resolved instantly on-device from the local blocklist. Allowed queries are resolved through DNS-over-HTTPS, which adds negligible overhead compared to normal DNS.

How do I remove hado99?

Uninstall it like any Android app: open your device's app list, find hado99, and choose Uninstall. This also removes the local VPN profile the app created.
